One more quick update! Regaring Fanime!!!
Hello everyone, mod of askirlfrance here asking for some help! We recently had some drops and switching around of our Fanime cast for the All Ages and 18+ panels and we’re looking to fill the slots via auditions. I was hoping if I posted here as opposed to my main tumblr I could get some nice signal boosting to spread it around a bit better.
The times you will need to be available are from half an hour before the panel until it ends. Panel times are Sunday from 10am -12 noon and Sunday 11pm - Monday 1am. Both are blocked for 2 hours long, and again we want all panelists to meet half an hour before the panel start.
The list of characters we’re accepting auditions for is:
- Russia
- China
- Japan
- Spain
- Prussia
- Hungary
Anyone else we’re not particularly interested in as these 6 characters in some way fill some slots for interactions we would like.
Onto the technical stuff!
To submit an audition just drop the link here to me either via ask or fanmail or as a reblog/reply to this post. If you want to post it as it’s own separate post on your blog just go ahead and tag my username and ill see it in my tracked tags.
Rules for auditions:
- Video Only
- AT LEAST 5 minutes of video, no more than 10
- MUST have In Character (IC) and Out Of Character (OOC) content
- IC content must show you acting as the character, whether its reading a script, improv, or doing lines from the show. Improv is much preferred as it shows us you can stay in character without having things preset which is what we need for a panel
- OOC content is you telling us why you’d like to be the character , why you think you qualify, how long you’ve cosplayed/roleplayed the character and any past panel/ask blog/youtube/etc. experience. Links for that last one would be appreciated.
- As far as ages go, we would /prefer/ that you’re at least 18, that way we can use you for both panels. But this is not a must.
- Videos should be uploaded to youtube please
- We would like if you had a facebook so that we could add you to the group on said website, but it is not a must. Also, skype would be needed! (And, as we get closer to the panel, you must be willing to share your phone number with Jaidin and Brittany so that we can contact you!)
- Must be willing to do some fanservice
- Must know some basic history of character, both Hetalia wise and maybe a bit of background history on your nation just in case. Some fans delve deep into the history part and may ask about real bits of your nation’s history Modern history is good to know as well, so europes economy and such.
- Must have a grasp on the character. Enough to make the character a 3-D person
- Keep it IC but do not go past PG 13 language and the like (note this is only for all ages panel, 18+ means anything goes)
- Canon uniforms ARE PREFERRED. Especially for the All Ages panel. If you do not have the complete canon uniform in time please contact the hosts (brittany and jaiden) and we’ll talk things over, but again canon is preferred. They have a ton of stuff they wear. If you would like to have something underneath or change please also inform us, we will be more lax with alt outfits for the 18+ panel since thats more fun and we can do more things
- You must have a proper wig(or hair is correct length, style and color). Wig is preferred.

Money from new job = redoing costume, hopefully by fanime which ill be at, at least new boots by then. cosplaying france on day 3 aka sunday of fanime for the hetalia all ages and after dark panels. ASKS ARE OPEN!!! i will answer asks mothers day weekend if i have more than like 3 and/or fanime weekend if i need more ask accumulating buffer time. if other cosplay ask blogs wanna do events/interact feel free to fanmail me and we can chat. future cosplay plans = 2p!fem france, musketeer france, hopefully pirate france and properly tailoring my suit for 2p france. the end.

BUT THATS ABOUT TO CHANGE
My France muse had been dead for a while but ALA helped bring it back a little :> I’m slowly trying to get into full swing but in the meantime theres good news.
1) I GOT A NEW JOB!!!! much better than my current one, better pay and more hours. more hours means less personal time but more money so i can finally redo my coat, and also do the other projects for France i want to (nice lacefront wig for historical! and fem!france, fabric for musketeer and 2p fem france and possible pirate france in the future)
2) IM ACCEPTING QUESTIONS AGAIN!!! This weekend is busy as heck since my old job decided to slam me with hours when i put in my 2 weeks but im hoping that sometime during either the 1st week or 2nd week of april i’ll have some time to toss on my cosplay. I’ll be trying a new method for gifs since my internal webcam sucks - ill be recording video and editing that for my response gifs! hopefully it works.
3) CONVENTIONS!!!! I’ll be going to Anime Conji 2013 in San Diego in 2 weeks. I won’t be bringing France but I will be wearing dr who fandom, Poland and one other im unsure of yet. Also I will be co-hosting the all ages and 18+ panels at Fanime 2013 this year! As France~ So moving up from plain old panelist to helper! All ages has been confirmed for Sunday from 10am - 12pm (noon) in Panels 3. No word yet on 18+. Also AM2 2013 I will be co-hosting as France! The same group from the 1st year will be returning with most of our original cast from 2011. As well as a multi fandom dating game that I’ll be cohosting as Sanji from One Piece with my friend as Teddie from P4. I may attend a day of AX but most likely not depending on my new work schedule. If I do I might not be France though, I’d be bringign Kanji Tatsumi from p4.

FANIME 2013 HETALIA ALL AGES AND 18+ PANELS: SEEKING AUDITIONS

So, for the past 3-4 years my group has gotten the 18+ and all ages Hetalia panels! Every year our rooms are jam packed with Hetalians! And this year we’re hoping to do it once more! We’re gathering panelists to join us for fun and excitement!

Nation Battle explanation:
We pick 2 audience members, give them a list of commands preapproved by panelists that they can use, have them act as historical figure for a nation, 3 round battle of insults, stage attacks, etc. (copied from our page)
We will have prizes! I, Jaidin, will be providing Doujin for the 18+ panel, there will be roses (From France), mini-flags, buttons, and possibly more!

Need some cash for bills-
Hey guys! So I have less hours at work now (only 2 nights this week) since it’s not too busy and they don’t need a hostess when the servers or manager can do it pretty easily on their own.
That said I def am gonna need help getting money for fun things like fabric for my cosplays and saving up for Fanime! Also for needed things like gas to get places since my checks are gonne be small and mostly going to bills and school stuff.

OCC Update
Was at ALA 2013 the other weekend and was France on all 3 Hetalia panels! If you were there hope you liked my sexy heels for the 18+ panel and enjoyed me bugging scotland on both the all ages ones. It was a blast hanging with and being a copanelist with askcosplayspain! Can’t wait to hang with you again hun.
Speaking of panels I will also be cohosting as France on the panels for Fanime 2013 (all ages and 18+, names pending). As well as France on AM2’s Hetalia panel which will be hosted by myself and my Hungary.
In more blog related news I have a new laptop but the quality is still utter shit on the webcam. contemplating getting an external webcam or using my dslr camera to take video to answer asks and making gifs from that.
Or just always video responses :/

I do also have a Poland cosplay that just needs a few touchups from its quick finish for YaoiCon 2012 so I’m debating making an askblog for that as well - or for Sanji from One Piece but idk how well that would work out?
Also France is slowly being revamped! Once money allows I will be purchasing new boots that actually go to my knees (current boots will then be covered in fur and leather for Thorin Oakenshield) and when money allows again after that I will be remaking my coat so it fits better all around and I can actually turn up the ends like I’m supposed to. CanCan France is a possibility for Fanime if I can find fabric in my stash to work and eventually 17th century accurate musketeer France!
